EE surcharge

Dining at the SFO Lark Creekcafe recently the bill included the strange notation, ""EE surcharge" and added 50 cents to the tab.  I had to ask, and was told it was and "energy efficiency" surcharged levied on all businesses in the airport by the airport authority.  No one could tell me what the purpose of the charge was or why it was there.  Isn't it ironic that efficiency costs extra money these days?  And what if I were more ee myself, could I charge for this post?  I might try.

But then this is San Francisco, the Republic oif as some call it, and nothing is beyond belief these days.  Forgot to mention that the food was excellent. and the wifi is too at the airport.

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)
