Erin S. is a front desk manager at the Renaissance Downtown Chicago, and is absolutely the best. Erin is great with each guest, ensuring that her and her staff provide the best possible experience at check-in and check-out no matter the status of the guest or the length of the stay. Being greeted at any time by someone that is competent, friendly and polite starts and ends any stay with such a great feeling.
Erin does also go the extra mile with her frequent guests to ensure that, as much as possible, room preferences and location are met. With frequent guests the courtesy is also extended to family and friends that may be staying at the hotel.

Is this the Renaissance on the Chicago River? Stayed there and it is a great alternative to the Marriott just up the street.

We just returned from a awesome stay over the weekend 3 nights. My brother called ahead and got all of us upgraded to River View rooms, and they gave him room 922, the Big Suite overlooking the river/downtown. They also found out it was his birthday, so when we showed up there was a cake in the room, 2 big bottles of vodka and gentleman jack, mixers etc...
Great hotel, great staff, showed the appreciation for 4 platinum premier members.
