Marriott's Super Bowl auction

Ok, so I was reading about the Super bowl auction using your rewards points... and would like to ask why Marriott didn't not include the JW in Indy as the hotel for this "Platinum" experience...it is one of the better JW's in the US and practically brand new!  Instead they list the Marriott across the street...I'm just sayin!!!

My guess is that for the Super Bowl, the higher end Marriott is fully booked and more revenue would be generated for that Marriott!!!!

The only Marriott available from February 3-6 is 40.4 miles from Indianapolis.  There is a property 7+ miles away available from February 2-6.

Can't wait til the game is in New Orleans.  Wonder if the Saints will go 2 years in a row?

Jasper is correct that this JW will bring in more revenue for Marriott. It is definitely top end. This new JW has become the 'go to' hotel in Indy. When I stayed there last May for the Indy 500, quite a few of the 'elite' teams had this hotel as their base. My further guess is that for the Super Bowl this hotel is the home base for the NFL Commissioner, NFL brass and the owners. It is diagonally across from Lucas Oil Stadium where the game is to be played. The teams usually stay 'offsite' to avoid the distractions and the 'hype' surrounding the game.

When there don't forget to make an advance reservation for one of the greatest steakhouses in the world, St. Elmo's!  It's close by and very special.

Ok, we know where it will be, and we know who won't be going, all that's left is who will be going to the Super Bowl.  Which teams do the Insiders like to be in Indy???

After yesterday, we know it won't be The Saints or the Broncos ( along with the 24 other teams already eliminated.

Im going with San Francisco/New England.   San Francisco winning it all.....   bold and fresh!

        Shoeman:

I like your thinking. It's along the same lines as mine for the winner.....although I'd rather see my Pats win and will root for them until I can't anymore. I didn't pick the Pats to win, or even make the SB because their pass defense has been so poor all year due to injuries, but after yesterday and they got some of their regulars back they now have a chance. Those regulars weren't supposed to be back this year but I'm glad they are. So far, my picks have been on target, except for the Jets not being the last AFC wildcarder.

SS did a poll on your question where I know others, as well as me, put their picks. Here it is:

        https://www.rewards-insiders.marriott.com/polls/1084

There have been some really good games so far and a wild one yesterday with SF and the Saints. The SF offense did everything they could to lose that game yesterday and finally put a drive together when it counted to win. Their defense is the real reason they won with five takeaways from the Saints. I'm still with SF just because of reality (SF and Baltimore have best defenses left in the Playoffs) and the best defense usually wins in these types of games but I think the Ravens QB isn't ready for the SB stage yet....so I picked SF in an upset.

But, if the Patriots put on continued offensive clinics like the one against the Broncos, I'll be changing my mind. No defense stops an offense that's hooked up the way the Pats were last night. We'll see. As I said, I'll be rooting for my Pats until they get knocked out or win the SB this year. Then, I'll be rooting for them next year and so on.....

I know little about sports, but can't imagine me predicting this.

Don't bet, and I don't go to casino's, but this amazes me.

Expect NY to win it all.

Harbaugh versus Harbaugh is my prediction with one of them, the Jim one, victorious

Its actually the Marriott North which is way north of the stadium and convention center.   If this was the top package, a stay next to the stadium and all the activity should have been included
