It will be interesting to see where we are (as a group) after the first quarter of stays with Marriott and other brands.
What I mean is that we all have expectations based on previous stays, many of which are not fulfilled. I hope that the new year means that recognition for elites is first and foremost in the minds of all Marriott Associates, that the long-promised training program to achieve that goal is in fact working, and that we can once again post that we've all had a marvelous stay with only good things to report.
Much like AM radio (remember that?) we've assumed that we'll get the information or the service we need but we'll have to put up with the static that comes with it.
I'd like to be able to say that the service was static-free every time.
