One magazine named The Dove, a London institution, as the best pub in the world! Very small but nice place for a brew and a bite. Have any other Insiders been--it's been there since the 17th century so most likely no time constraints. Would you agree or do you have another favorite?
Never been there and it a bit out of the way, but I will go there in April and get some photo's!
Have been to a lot of them in London as you have seen pictures from previous posts. Ones I really like, sad however, I don't drink beer anymore, so will just settle for a glass of wine. Favorites,
Hung Drawn and Quartered
Love, going on the London "Pub Crawl", it is most interesting, if you don't mind the walk.

I was always taken with the warmth of the pub goers in London and even in the outlying areas, but then alcohol does loosen the ties and tongues!
Have a great time!
Well, what a challenge! I don't know the Dove, but I can't see anything that would incline me to vote it the best. It seems to be one of the Fuller chain and only serves their ales. Whilst they do produce some good ales, a pub that has such a limited selection would not rate highly with real beer drinkers. Have come across CAMRA? (CAMpaign for Real Ale). It is club focused on preserving traditional beers/pubs in the UK. - http://www.camra.org.uk/ - the CAMRA pub of the year for 2011 was The Harp in Chandos Place, Covent Garden.
Before you ask, yes, I do drink beer and I am a long st adding member of CAMRA
