OK it started with the Blazing Saddles trivia, but here goes:

  1. What was the location of the first Marriott venture? (city good, street location better)
  2. Who is the current Marriott president?
  3. Where is Marriott headquarters located, and for extra credit:  what postal controversy surrounded that address?
  4. When (month and year) did Marriott's loyalty program start?
  5. Where is the Twin Bridges Marriott?
  6. Who heads Marriott Rewards?  Extra credit:  What was the position this person occupied before starting at Marriott?
  7. How many hotels are branded Marriott?
  8. Who were the first two Marriott Ambassadors?
  9. When did the Platinum Premier designation first appear?
  10. and, Marriott's first frequent stayer program was called what?

Prizes will be awarded as necessary--trust me on that!

Where is the Twin Bridges Marriott?

Marriott's restaurant chain grew, and the company went public in 1953. In 1957,

he expanded his business to hotels,

opening the first Marriott hotel—actually a motel, the Twin Bridges Motor Hotel[4]

    in Arlington, Virginia. The company

became Marriott, Inc., in 1967. Two large chains were added to the group, the Big Boy family restaurants in 1967 and Roy Rogers Family Restaurants in

    1968.

The motel was located in Arlington, Virginia, at the Virginia approaches to the 14th Street Bridge, almost
    directly across the Potomac
    River
from the Jefferson Memorial in the District of Columbia. From this position
it had views of the U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument. Its address was 333
Jefferson Davis Highway Arlington, Virginia. The motel was highly visible and
under the aerial approaches to Reagan
    National Airport
    .

After its demolition in 1990, the Arlington County government refused
to grant permission for two seven-story office buildings on the site (and an
adjacent parcel at 355 Old Jefferson Davis Memorial Highway). Instead, the
county organized an exchange of parcels to ensure that no commercial structure
would be built on the site given its visual prominence and sensitive
    location.
The site is being developed as a public recreation area as Arlington County's
    Long Bridge Park.[3]
