Yes! Was just there for conference at the end of September. I'm a Gold member. When I went to check in at 4:30pm was told my room wasn't ready and would have to wait 2 hours! I couldn't believe it! I kept saying is there anything they could do for a "GOLD MEMBER" Like were they going to give me a room upgrade or dinner/ drink coupons??? NOPE!!! I got nothing!!! Just a very rude front desk person and had to kill 2 hours waiting for my room.
Two days later I rush down to send something out of the business office via Fedex. I had 15 minutes before the Fedex closes. The Bussiness Office person tells me I'm too late. I'm arguing that it's not time for Fedex to be closed out, when in walks Fedex guy and asks what's up. I ask if he can still take my package and he's like sure no problem! The Cosmo Business Office guy gets all whiny because he has to open back up his file and add to it. AMAZING!!! Zero costumer service!!
The hotel is beautiful!!! BUT! the service SUCKS ROYAL!!! just about every where you go. Tried to get extra towels in my room and you would have thought I was going to have to sign away my first born!!! Totally crazy!!!
The prices on just about anything are totally jack up because they think VERY highly of themselves. Nice place to visit but, I'd never stay there again!
I stayed here for my birthday on October 15th. I had a wonderful experience, although the check in was a little strange. I had asked for an upgraded room (I'm only silver) because I really wanted to be able to see the Bellagio Fountains. We checked in on a Friday night and the check in person told me that they were sold out and he couldn't help me get upgraded. He did look up several rooms and then called somebody and told us that he was sorry but there wasn't anything he could do to get us an upgrade because there was nothing available. I had booked 2 nites on points and was going to pay for 3 nights. We were guaranteed a King Studio. When we got to our room we had a 1 bedroom King suite with a big balcony that had a wonderful view of the fountains. I guess I don't get why the front desk wouldn't want to take credit for getting us an upgrade. I was so happy with the room and the view, I went down to the front desk to thank him and asked him why he didn't just tell us about the great room he was giving us and he just smiled so I wasn't sure if he even realized what he did. I wasn't going to question it because I loved my room. Also, I didn't have any problems with housekeeping or any of the employees at this hotel. Everybody was very nice and I felt like a had a great birthday weekend. We always stay at Marriott hotels for our birthdays (last year we stayed in Monterey and Sonoma) and I think this was my favorite birthday celebration because of the hotel. Also, I loved the casino where I could drink rasberry lemon drop cosmopolitans while I was gambling for free!!!. I have also read on some blogs that you don't want to stay here if you are older and if you like quiet. We loved seeing all of the young people dressed up in the bars and casinos and since we stayed in the West Tower, our room was very quiet. The Chadiler bar was also a great experience. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!!!
Glad you had such a great experience at the Cosmopolitan...Seems like their service is hit and miss though. You were one of the lucky ones to get this kind of service!!! I would like to see the Cosmopolitan be more consistent with their treament of Marriott Elites so that more of us would feel comfortable booking this incredible hotel!!!
