Does anyone know a good way to get from the Venice, Italy Santa Lucia train station to the Venice Courtyard hotel? Their web site says there is a shuttle available for a fee but does not say what to do to get on the shuttle.
You can take the airport-bound land bus from P. Roma. But, unless you are arriving at the train station at night and flying out very early the next morning, I wouldn't recommend staying at the Courtyard. It's too far from Venice, you won't see anything of Venice.
I reached out to the Venice Courtyard hotel managment to get some guidance regarding your question. Here is the General Manager's response: From Venice Santa Lucia guests have to reach Piazzale Roma by foot (300 hundred meters to the Bus stop – where all buses leave); they have to catch bus n. 5 for a fee of 1.20 per person 1 way. The last bus will leave at 11.10 p.m. Buses leave every 30 minutes at past ’10 and past ‘40. Guests have to walk, and if they have a lot of luggage it could be a bit difficult. In this case the guest can ask for a porter outside the station, although of course this service has a fee. I hope this is helpful to you. Regards, Laura
