Returning to Ritz Carlton in St. Thomas in March. Would like to do a day sail that includes some snorkeling but not to St. John. Tortolla? Jost Van ****? Can anyone suggest other islands or specific tour companies? Worth going to Soggy Dollar Bar?
Good Afternoon, I have been able to reach out to the property directly, and they provided the following response: There are several different boating options that we recommend that will go to the British Virgin Islands. New Horizons II and Breakaway is one option. This is a non private boat. It can carry up to 37 people. The cost is $145 per person and a $30 customs fee. (Passports are necessary.) Breakfast and juice is provided to start the day - the ride is 7am-5pm. First stop is Virgin Gorda and snorkeling and hiking through the hidden caverns and gigantic boulders known as "The Baths". You will dock at Marina Cay for lunch. After lunch there is shopping at the Pussers store and you can view historic ruins. Next stop is White Bay on Jost Van ****. "The Soggy Dollar" is a world famous beach bar famous for their Painkiller Rum Drink and comes with high recommendations. You have to take a dingy to get to it or just swim in. There is also a place called "One Love" where you can drink the best Bushwhacker. At 3pm, you head back to St. John to clear customs. The boat includes an open bar, pastries in the morning, an afternoon snack and shrimp cocktail, and snorkeling equipment and floating noodles.
For a more private boat, we recommend Nauti Nymph. These boats carry up to 6 people and range from $475-$670 per person or per boat depending on which boat and its size. Some of these trips will include breakfast, lunch, open bar, and snorkeling equipment.
You may call 340-775-3333 ext. 8141 to speak with our Aquatic center. Thanks - I hope this helps!
