I understood that as part of a gold status one was able to get a free breakfast at mariott hotels. But seems the hotels think otherwise as the Passadena mariott said they do not do this. Is this a scam benefit?
I am not aware of a generalized "free breakfast" except at a couple of the Marriott Service lines (FFI, Res Inn, Springhill Suites etc...), Some are continental, some are hot. Courtyards/ RC's, JW's etc... have no "free breakfast", unless it is attached to your rate, or you sneak in the Concierge lounge..........Heehee

Summary: no 'sneak-in' necessary to the Concierge Lounge. Breakfast is on Marriott, whether they have a Concierge Lounge or not....weekdays only and not at resorts.
