Why do some Marriots offer a free breakfast voucher when cocierge lounge is closed on weekends and others don't? Shouldn't some perks be standard? Afterall, we're still elite members any day of the week.
My experience has been that this is an option/benefit that the hotel chooses to exercise. I was informed that the rule changed a number of years ago, and have found that most hotels do not offer breakfast vouchers. However, it never hurts to ask because I've found that if you ask, they will give you a voucher, but once again, it is not "standard" benefit.
I understand that it is up to the hotel management at each Marriott you stay in. Each Marriott is allowed to offer or not the free breakfast and or a concierge room. I have been in a courtyard or two which did not offer the free morning breakfast. I was told that it is up to the management. Their choice was not to offer any perks to any person staying there no matter what status a person may have in the Marriott program. I can only recommend to make a note of the Marriott hotels which are not meeting your needs and do not stay at them again. I hope this gives you a little insight on your question.
