It may not be out of the question, but maybe only on a case-by-case basis. We recently (Dec 2012) got a break on parking with a package deal at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort on Maui (i.e., parking was included in the package). Keep reading the fine print as you search. And yes, Laura, we do include parking and other add-on costs to our search for a high-value vacation! Many a trip has been scuttled by them.
You really wouldn't like parking at the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf nor Seattle Waterfront properties then as parking is between $40-$50/night.
I'd love to see parking rates be waived or lowered as well, heck even to the point of using reward points for them, but a nice low number of points not an insane amount as some parking charges are such as my two examples.
