I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH THE LEVEL OF SERVICE WITH MARRIOTT REWARDS. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IT SHOULD TAKE WEEKS FOR POINTS AND BONUS POINTS TO POST. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY I HAVE TO CONTINUOSLY FOLLOW UP TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE POSTED.
Not sure why you are having problems. My points and bonus points are always posted within days. I typically check my previous week stays every Sunday and they there. Of the 90 stays I have had this year, all points were posted promptly and correctly with the exception on 1 missing platinum arrival bonus. The missing bonus was fixed within a week.
Hi QueDog89, I have had similar problems -- it seems always to have to do with individual hotels. Some post immediately, but others, especially in Europe where I travel most, do not. Make sure to keep your bill or folio and call the hotel and/or Rewards if you haven't seen it posted within about 5 days. You'll probably still have to fax the bill. ProfChiara ProfChiara
I routinely have more than 125 room nights each year - albeit all domestic - and I cannot remember when my MR points and room nights were not posted within 2 days of each stay (with NO intervention on my part). A question: Does your correct MR number appear on the hotel folio? (the last three digits anyway) If the answer is yes, there is a glitch somewhere that you need to check out with MR. If the answer is no, now you know the problem! You need to ensure on each of your checkouts that the MR number does appear. If not - and if it is too late to correct it before you leave the hotel - you will need to FAX your folio to MR for credit. I ALWAYS check my folios for MR numbers before leaving hotels. Good luck!
I agree with you 1000%. When Marriott does an elite 'bonus' for a stay it sometimes says there will be a 6 to 8 week lag for the bonus to post. I have a situation such as that now where I have made the stay and received the credit for the stay along with the points. However, 8 weeks later, no bonus point has appeared. WHY should I have to hold my bill and reservation confirmation for 8 long weeks to check Marriott performance for them? Ridiculous. With technology being what it is today, this is not a techie problem. The PROGRAM should post the points within a couple of days for EVERY transaction. It would seem to me the problem goes much farther and deeper than that. I see too many postings on this blog that speaks to fax the invoice, fax the bill, etc. How about just posting the points so your best customers don't go through this aggravation.
