I purchased a combination package with points. I received the airline miles but can't find category 5 hotels to use point on...can I upgrade to category 6 or 7 or can the remainder of points go back into my account? no response from customer service.
I have asked the same question and was told I could not upgrade at all, even with use of additional points. I have now also been told that I cannot renew the hotel certificates (they expire in November this year) and also that I cannot give them to anyone else to use. This all seems so strange because at the time of the purchase I was not even aware of what hotels went in to the 1-5 category and could not get the information. I always thought that you could give a hotel certificate as a gift to someone. I have owned my resort since 1989 and have seen the program change over the years usually for the better but sometimes its difficult if you do not live in the States or do not want to holiday there.
