Hello, I an traveling to Honolulu, Hawaii for several days. This is my first time to the islands. Would like to stay at a Marriott for pleasure. Any suggestions as to which one would serve my purposes best? Must have hotel beach access. Flash1
If you're staying on Oahu, check out the web site for the JW Marriott Ihilani at KoOlina. It's great, and there have been many positive comments and reviews on this site by other Insiders. Have a great trip!!
We recently stayed at The Edition and loved it. It is not your normal Honolulu hotel and is a short walk to Waikiki beach. Service was great and the dining in the hotel is fabulous. The pools are great. This is not a hotel for children!
The Edition is one of our favorites. It is not your normal Honolulu hotel and is a short walk to Wakiki beach. The pools are fabulous plus the dining in the hotel is some of the best!! The service is outstanding. This is not a hotel for children!
Looks like, as per yeterdays WSJ, you can forget about the Edition. Seems the owners took it back from Marriott. If this is your first visit you may not want to be all the way out at KoOlina either. It is a good 30 miles from Waikiki with travel on 'the most conjested highway in the US", H1. The Marriott resort in Waikiki is directly across the street from Waikiki Beach. If you stay there try for the front tower, closest to the beach and insist on being on the west side of the building. East side of both towers is very noisy. Best deal however is probably the Courtyard. It is a 2 block walk to the beach but it is centrally located and usually a bargin.
