We've had wonderful experiences during each of our several stays at the Renaissance Hotel. The staff is exceptional, they recognize us and call us by name and even remember where we went or what we were out doing. On the first visit they told us about the monorail and bus on the strip. We've stayed at another property in Vegas but decided to go back to the Renaissance.
The Marriott Grand Chateau is clean and quiet (no casino) plus you can get a one, two, or three bedroom unit with kitchen and living area. It is between MGM and Planet Hollywood set back just a little from the strip. Beautiful view from rooftop area. There are no restaurants within the location.
By the way, try to book the Garth Brooks Concert in advance of your stay. An incredible concert in a small arena at the Wynn Hotel. It is just Garth Brooks and his guitar with no back up band. He does music from the past including Beatle Music. He is very entertaining and funny. And as a bonus, he brings his wife (Trisha Yearwood) out to sing several songs. an experience that I will never forget. I was lucky to get third row seats although all seat in this arena are close up!!!
The Marriott Grand Chateau was great. A large suite with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and TVs is very reasonable. Kitchen and washer/dryer helps also. This Marriott also has a wonderful kids club for guests. There is no restaurant in the lobby, but the Miracle Mile Mall is right across the street with many options. The pool is a bit small.
We very much enjoyed our stay and loved this hotel.
We also enjoyed the Renaissance Las Vegas, nice room, nice staff, Envy (restaurant) was wonderful. Quiet, no casino, and it is right next to the Monorail. Pool area is very nice. I would go back again. We are going next month to the Grand Chateau with our parents and son. My husband and I are going to get a night out at the Cosmopolitan, too!!! Can't wait.
Contary to a reply listed above. I have had several wonderful stays at the Hughes Center Residence Inn. While at the time, I was not a PLT.Premire Elite, I was awarded a upgrade while using points on a 2 bedroom suite. The location is a few blocks off the street but there is a "locals" casino across the street. There are also three nice resturants withen 200 meters from the hotel. The breakfast is plentiful and the price is perfect. Parking is free and finding a spot is no problem. Catching cabs to the strip can cost about 8-10 dollars, but you can walk there in 15 minutes.Usually, theres business types and professionals. Not too many Honeymooners, partiers and rowdy Vegas types.
