I am traveling to London and looking for feedback on JW or Marble Arch vs County Hall. Do either of them have 7 days a week concierge lounges that are free to Gold Members? County Hall seems better, but I may not have enough pts by time of travel. I have seen a lot of reviews on how great County Hall is, but nothing on Marble Arch. Also, I haven't seen any info on JW or Marble Arch Concierge Lounges. All of the reviews out there are great, thanks for all the reviews on London so far!
Am at County Hall writing this report. Yesterday, I went up to St. Pancras to the new Ren. it was great, but not for me. Just too crowded and not that great of a location. If you want to spend the night coming or going on the Eurostar, great, especially if you like the "Underground". For my personal needs, the staff and location of County Hall is like staying on "Disney" property while taking in Disney World. Lastly, Mike, is so right about the Marble Arch area, it is great, and I really do enjoy Grosvenor House or Grosvenor Square as well. It is just that I would not come to London if I had to stay at the Marble Arch Marriott.

YOur first thought is best. I'm sorry that I could be biased because I haven't stayed at the JW or Marble Arch but I have stayed at Park Lane and rooms are very small and there was a lot of begging on my part to get an upgrade. The good thing about Park Lane was the breakfast but County Hall's breakfast was almost as good and the view is super. JW looks very nice but I just got back from London and walking down or up Park Lane is like very stressful for me. The cars seem to come out of nowhere when you walk across the many many crosswalks to get to the bottom of the long street. I had my 9 yr old granddaughter with me and had to jerk her back from cars turning into little roundabouts and if you have any sleep deprivation from just arriving you will want to avoid this street at all costs. County Hall has it all. The wonderful staff eager to help in any way. I don't think that the word "No" is in their vocabulary. Waterloo and Westminster Stations are very close so there's easy access to wherever you want to go. Walking distance to many sights. The concierge lounge is ver nice at the County Hall but I know people complain that there are no windows. I don't go to London to sit in the concierge lounge of any hotel and free breakfast is served in the library if you are Gold or Platinum. The library has a beautiful view. If you end up having points for only 3 days I'd say it's worth it to buy points for one night because points for 4 night will get you 5 nights
Having stayed at most of them in London, why would you want to give up this location?
The best staff, and wonderful CL! Walking distance to so much!
Good luck, no matter what you decide.
I haven't stayed at Park Lane, but have at the Marble Arch and would never consider staying there again. IMHO it's in an unsavory part of London, and getting back through winding not well-lit streets at night is not easy. I have nothing good to say about the Marble Arch. My favorite London Marriotts are County Hall and West India Quay.
