I'll be in Singapore next week. Here's the response I received from the manager of the Singapore Marriott when I inquired if my colleagues could have lounge access:
Due to space constraint and an overwhelming number of guests accessing The Lounge, access is only for yourself and an additional registered guest (above the age of 12 years) from the same room. Should a guest wish to enjoy our lounge ambience [sic] and its benefits, we are pleased to offer the Executive room at our best available rates per room night. Rates for the Executive room includes Breakfast and Evening Cocktails in the Executive lounge.
Polite, perfectly understandable and reasonable, but disappointing nonetheless.
Just a quick update on this issue:
I'm a Platinum member. When I made reservation for 3 rooms with award nights, I was told all my guests can have access to the Executive Lounge. In KL Malaysia yes, but in Singapore we were very disappointed as my guests were denied access. Why?
