We are heading to Aruba staying at the surf club (we were assigned surf club through trading our timeshare). I read trip advisor and other than early beach chairs claiming what else do we need to know? We will be renting a car. Help with tips please!
We had a great time at this property years ago. The beach chair dance did get pretty annoying however. Setting my alarm clock to get up and stand in line to get towels and reserve beach chairs is not my idea of a relaxing vacation. You will see iguanas roaming the grounds and looking for food. They are like pigeons in the States. Pretty cool and harmless. Take a ride to the other side of the island where there is a sheltered cove for swimming. Ask someone at the property, I forget what it is called, but it was beautiful. We also frequented a Crepe restauraunt near the marina that was fantastic for breakfast, if that is your sort of thing. People are nice, we never felt unsafe at any point. Have fun!
