What is the differance between BLACKOUT days and No rooms available? Even though thay have rooms to purchase. I tried to book a couple hotels that had rooms to purchase but not with points.

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)

The unofficial answer: BLACKOUT dates are those dates where only cash is king as per MR terms and conditions, ". . . add blackout dates, limit rooms available for any Reward at any participating hotel . . .", in other words, you can't use points or other special deals such as a free night certificate, etc. - only cash. NO ROOMS AVAILABLE means that even if you want to use the cash-only option, the property is booked to capacity and no rooms remain.
