A couple of qs about Treasure Island residences. Does the hotel provide chairs and umbrellas on the beach, what about a bar, I think I saw there was no bar at the pool. Also, is this hotel walking distance to any souveneir shops, or other shopping?
Marriott's Residence Inn Treasure Island is on the beach. A local vendor rents and sets up chairs and umbrellas by the hour, half day or day. There is no bar at the pool. As far as shopping and souvenir shops, there are convenience stores nearby, but the best place to go is St. John's Pass in Madeira which is 2 miles north of the Residence Inn. Treasure Island is part of chain of barrier islands off the Gulf coast of Florida. The islands stretch from Clearwater to St. Pete and are connected by toll-free bridges. While I highly recommend renting a car, the Suncoast Beach Trolley is affordable, reliable and fun.
