Has anyone stayed in the Kingfisher building at Ocean Pointe? I know it's a short walk from the main complex but wonder if the facility/amenities are comparable? Example: the bar, hot tubs, grills, views? Thank you!
MTNSTR, I was able to reach out to the property Concierge once again, who was glad to provide me with his take. I hope this helps: The Kingfish building is a favorite of couples with no children. They’re far enough away from the “hub bub”, but close enough to get to all our activities. The Kingfish building features a spectacular view of the Palm Beach Inlet and Palm Beach proper (South and East views are sensational. Sit out by the pool with it’s graduated entrance, or relax in the hot tub right by the High Tides bar, or cook your evening meal at one of the grills, and you have an incredible view of all the action on the inlet from every vantage point. It’s my favorite building. It’s almost like a resort onto itself. Thanks - please let me know via private message if you would like any additional information or would like to be put in touch with the Concierge directly.
Unfortunately, yes, several times. My wife and I have stayed there quite a few times while I was there for work. The last couple of times we got "stuck" in that building. It is the only vacation club Marriott I ever stay at. It is the only property that doesn't upgrade me due to my platinum lifetime status. They give precedence to "owners" and evidently they do not want to stay in that building which is very isolated. My wife walks up every day to the central area of the property which has the largest pool and eating possibilities. The Kingfish building has a dinky, closed in pool and no real food. The last time we were there I told her I didn't think we would stay there again due to the fact we don't want to get stuck in that building again. Hope this helps.
