Most all I hear on television and newspapers about this weekend is weather reports, beach updates, and travel forecasts. But let's not forget the reason for the holiday.
I want to wish our current service members and veterans from all wars and their families, who have in many ways served with them, a happy and safe Memorial Day. We owe you all so much and must never forget it.
Exactly. Our servicemen and women deserve our thanks and remembrance no matter what your stance on past, present, or future wars.
On our recent trip to Paris, my wife and I made an overnight trip to the north of France and made a point to stop at the Normandy WWII cemetery which is the final resting place for 9,387 Americans. It was an experience I will not soon forget.
