Insiders visiting London from next week might like to note that the "new" Renaissance at St Pancras Station opens (at least in part) next week. I say "new" because it is in fact housed in a spectacular 19th Century, Grade 1 listed building, but of course the latest iteration involves a major upgrade and modernisation. The location - on Euston Road - is extremely suitable for anyone embarking on a Eurostar journey (from St Pancras International) or going to Scotland or NW England (Kings Cross or Euston Stations)- or simply wanting a central base, with good Underground connections. It seems that the much-heralded Gilbert Scott Restaurant in the Hotel will not open for a few weeks, but when it does it should be worth a visit.
Thanks for letting us know!
I think this is a fabulous property and I watched the construction for the past couple of years. For people who want to just make a "Day trip" to/from France or Belgium, it is an easy trip on the Eurostar. One that is very unforgettable to experience the high speed train.
The tube connections are great as well as the bus connections to all of London.
Here are a few photo's showing the beauty of the station and hotel.
