Marriott is well posied to capture a good market once we are out of this mess (I say another 8 years). Agressive rooms in a very busy market, but demand has to be there and based on those numbers looks like it is within reach.

What other Hotels are growing like Marriott is?

Truth be told Wyndham outperformed Marriott in 2010.  This is the underlying story behind Marriott's disappointing setback - being dropped from the Most Ethical Company Roster** after being named to the list 3 years in a row prior. But, that's old news now.   It's clear that Marriott has regrouped, moving forward and thinking very expansively.

In New York recently, the company announced plans to add up to 90,000 rooms to the portfolio over the next two years starting in 2011 with 22,000 additional rooms in Europe and Asia during the same period.*

Kudos, Marriott - that's taking the lead!
