New Orleans Marriott

Enjoyable stay, but the parking is a hassle. Valet parking is $30 per day, but they will not accept a call to bring your car up and they park the cars up to 16 blocks away. It takes forever to get in and out, and it is not because the parking attendants are lazy. Rather they run around like track and field contestants in the Olympics. Very poor arrangement and bad business process. Makes guests late for appointments.

Other than that, pretty good hotel.

    Sounds like typical New Orleans.

The Marriott-Lakeway in Metairie is an exception when it comes to retrieving your car. These valets/bellhops (they pull double-duty there) are great and fast.

This hotel is geared more towards business rather than tourism. Plus, they have a lot of regular guests, so the valets/bellhops tend to stay on top of things (plus, I think they get better tips than the guys downtown).
