My husband and I just got back from staying at the Meadowview Marriott. I had a very relaxing time there and wish to thank the housekeeping staff for going out of their way to find me some bubblebath! As silly as it may sound, I just really wanted a bubblebath and couldn't find anything suitable, a housekeeper in the hall was so kind and brought some to my room. I don't usually sleep well away from home, but the bubblebath and balcony and the pleasant atmosphere made my whole night!
Kathy, thanks for reminding us that the small things at a hotel can be the big things! It is nice to hear that a hotel went out of its way to make your stay enjoyable. In many ways, this is the essence of hospitality: making every guest feel welcome, doing the small things (and the big things) well, and with a smile.
