Just spent a few nights at the property in Paris. Being Platinum we were given rooms on the exec floor [18th] and of course access to the Exec Lounge on the 3rd floor.
Rooms we slightly on the small side but recently renovated and perfectly OK. Restaurant service excellent, great food selection, conciege and bell boy staff attentive and helpful.
The big disappointment was the Exec lounge. OK it was a busy weekend -- 4th July -- but there was no excuse for the constant uncleared tables at breakfast and during the day. Short staffed and supplies such as water and soft drinks not available. After our first breakfast on the Saturday we opted to go to the 2nd floor restaurant for breakfast as the Exec lounge experience was messy and unattractive. Also we were told that 18th floor exec customers could use the WIFI connection and get a credit at check out -- not so and I had to [demand] a credit in the end.
Always a shame that it is the little things that let down a property -- guess we all get used to being spoilt at other properties !
Jerry -- have since had an email from their Customer Service manager saying that they had had some "staff issues" around the time of our stay so you are probably right that this may have been a hiccup. As we said everything else was great -- and yes I agree the rooms are quite large for a Paris hotel.
Cheers . . Murray
