It's all your fault!
I just changed my Christmas plans from Zurich to Wentworth by the Sea!
Manager Josh and Ms. Cary (Concierge) could not have been more hospitable to provide me a super room and deal for the holiday!
You and others have raved about the resort and I am looking forward to going there!
If you have any suggestions, please let me know! I am going to the Christmas brunch, and will be taking a shuttle from Logan.

Good for you! Wentworth by the Sea is about an hour north of Boston on I-95. And Maine is only 10 minutes from the Wentworth. This stretch of New England is just teaming with excitement and decked out to the hilt during the holidays. The Wentworth will feel like home.
Personally, I recommend renting some wheels while there. The seacoast drive on Rte 1A is quite scenic year round and there are many day trips to Newburyport, MA; Rockport on Cape Ann; Portsmouth, NH; Perkins Cove, ME and Portland, ME among many others.
Before getting carried away, how long is your trip?
4 nights and 5 days!
It's over Christmas and the concierge, Ms. Cary, says there is a lot to do in town. I have booked the Presidential suite with a fireplace, I think you have stayed in it, and I am looking forward to relaxing there.
Thanks for your ideas and sharing your experiences with all of us!
We stayed on the sixth and seventh floors in the center turret referred to as the Admiral's Suite. * It's unique, one-of-a-kind, historic and very private. It's so private, there are two flights of stairs from the fourth floor to get to this duplex with majestic views of Portsmouth, New Hampshire's seacoast and southern Maine. We've also stayed in the Little Harbor Suites overlooking Wentworth by the Sea's Marina and pool. These suites are more like villas on two levels and have a fireplace, too.
Unless recently refurbished with a decorative fireplace, the Admiral's Suite does not have a working fireplace. The Wentworth does have a suite in the East Turret which does have a fireplace.** We preferred the Admiral's Suite because the Master Bedroom and Bath are located on the same level; whereas, the East Turret has the bedroom and bath on two levels.
There is a lot to do in the area and if you're blessed with a white Christmas, you'll experience and enjoy incredible views of a winter wonderland from the Admiral's Suite as several photos below show.
Haven't stayed at this hotel, but our friends have. They loved it and you should have a great time. Ironically, I have family on the same island, and they love it. We have driven past and it looks very nice, and the surrounding areas are great! Go to Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, quite charming. Pourtsmouth is also a cute little town, a lot to do.
I Hope you have a great time,

That will be the East Turret which is just below the 'A' in the attached satellite photo. The south coast of Maine will be less than a mile away in your east/northeast view. (bring a telephoto!) A fireplace at Christmas should be very, very warm and cozy.
