Cold and overcast did not deter the folks from making the pilgrimage to Pebble Beach for the first practice round of the US Open. Sweatshirts and long pants were sold at a brisk pace. Even though folks were warned to leave cameras and cell phones at home they are apparently OK for the three Practice Rounds.
Today's weather is the same, colder than usual and overcast. A peek of the sun around 5 pm seems to be norm for our "June Gloom."
Arnold Palmer was the guest of honor at last night's Rolex party at the Beach and Tennis Club. Many great golfers are in town for the Open.
Lots of spectators, lots of crowds and narrow roads making this an interesting place to be during the Tournament. Nice to see all these folks but we wish the weather was a little more hospitable for them.
