Bungled bundling

Yep, the Internet is now free but at least at one hotel (Renaissance Las Vegas) the charge for use of the phone, formerly part of WFB (Wired for Business) charge is still there if you make other than a local call. $2.95 a day in fact.

Hmmm?  Does this sound free to anyone else?

The Vegas property, outside of Disnyland, has been the only one in my years to charge for forgotton tioletries.

They are offering free internet, not free long distance telephone calls.

Do you really think $2.95 a day is unreasonable for unlimited long distance?

This is very reasonable.  If you use your cell phone the minute charge may be as hight as 40cents/min. If you use the LD a lot the charge is a good deal; if you use only a few minutes it is bad deal.
