Rich return to hotels in May

The NYT reports an upsurge in bookings at the most expensive and exclusive hotels.  That will mean a return to prices of the past, sadly, for those of us who stay only when there's a bargain to be had.

Great article and reassuring, too.  Last November, Marriott announced the streamlining and integration of standalone brands into a regional framework, the Ritz-Carlton included.  An article in Travel Weekly* comments that the integration is more 'back of the house' and that the changes would be transparent to guests.  The New York Times article supports that!  Congratulations, Marriott and Ritz-Carlton on a successful streamlining and integration.
