That's correct.  Marriott reservations shows that from Sept 6 to Sept 11, 2010 there are 76 hotels available on points from Category 1 to Category 7 in the Boston area w/in a 50 mile radius.

    Klaus,

I travel to the Boston area very frequently and know that market extremely well.  Your point about more rooms available is absolutely on-point.

Overall, it is my 'hunch' that the lack of replies is related to the reduced number of posts which is related to the reduced number of views and reduced number of visits to Insiders.

Again, it's a hunch. It is close of business on day 29 since the so-called enhancements were introduced and Marriott slipped one more % point on the HWN poll.  Whether there is any correlation to this public domain metric is anyone's guess.

Whether more hotels are available with points or not in Boston or anywhere else, Insiders is rapidly losing luster as the community to discuss it.
