Beware Insiders | Hurt Locker

For anyone into cinematic adventure, Hurt Locker triumphed over Avatar to receive the Oscar for Best Picture. From NUHusker's 'grits & greens' perspective, the movie is about a bomb disposal team in Iraq.

Despite Insiders expressed preference for the look, feel and functionality we enjoyed prior to April 1st, Marriott recently advised of "deeper defects" that a rollback might entail. This post has a dual purpose. First, to place you on alert; and second, alert the bomb disposal team at LiveWorld to engage.

Striking a parallel, Insiders has a Hurt Locker of its own. There are landmines that can blow up if you happen to step on one.  I did.*   There's no need to be alarmed. Just be wary that your system may become unresponsive if you happen to click a landmine. Here's the first and hopefully the last, landmine avoidance map:

Avoid "My Subscriptions" which may be found under, "My Profile".  As great as the "My Profile" dashboard is, there are defects yet to be identified and fixed.

Should you have an experience consider reporting it by posting a message or using Feedback.  If might be helpful if you use "Attach Photos" to include a screen capture with your report.

good friends in the IED disposal business in the military tell me that the movie was for the most part inaccurate but that they enjoyed seeing it anyway.  That's a footnote to your post not a criticism, by the way.  I am a positive and caring poster

Explosive ordinace disposal specialists may be crazy, but they ain't stupid...as depicted in the movie.  Still an exciting movie to watch, and unfortunately the end result for many returning home is just like the movie.

The submission to Feedback and the alert proved effective. Marriott and LiveWorld are responsive. They jumped on the defect and requested additional info.  Resolution is pending.

In the meantime, "My Profile" is the Elite 'dashboard'. It's my nature to figure out how things work or don't work.  Gee, what happens if you, 'Always subscribe to discussions I reply to' and then delete the reply?  (Does everyone remember that the Delete function was broken until recently?)  On top of that, what happens if you subscribe to (follow) another Insider?  OK - what happens if you Unsubscribe?  Landmine.

Why go through that?  Thanks to the 'enhancements', where even the Marriott forum manager, Andrew cannot find his posts we're all asking ourselves the same question NUHusker posed, "Can I see all my posts?" In the innocent interest of trying to be helpful, the quest became, "Is it possible to subscribe to/(follow) yourself?" Answer: I dunno and do not care to risk losing limbs trying to find out.

So, Marriott and LiveWorld, rather than a roll-back which poses a very real possibility of "deeper defects", what about adding a new feature?  My Audit. The purpose of which allows you to see all posts whether it's a new Topic or a Reply.  The feature could be linked to a Brand Satisfaction Insiders Index where all kinds of 'sentiment' analysis might be of value in correlating guest expectations against service delivery or any other correlation you might be interested in.

As always, I welcome PMs.  However, LiveWorld/Marriott, can you reallocate additional space as my Inbox is almost full to capacity?  Thanks in advance.
