Palm Desert MVCs - best for adults?

Hello!

My husband and I are planning to go out to Palm Desert for a few days in March. We're in our early 30's, no kids yet - just wondering which of the properties would be the best option, given the four choices (Desert Springs I & II, and Shadow Ridge I & II)? Seems like Desert Springs might be the the a good one given the location and access to the JW, but would love any advice! Also, when I look at the properties online, they don't seem to distinguish between the I & II at either resort.)

Thank you in advance for any advice!

I'm looking forward to hear what other's have to share, hibbarme! I'm hoping to do a SW road trip sometime this next year, and will likely make a stop in Palm Springs. Could use some suggestions myself!

For Palm Desert, I would suggest Shadow Ridge - Enclaves. It is a smaller phase 3 of Shadow Ridge that is not promoted. I think at one time it may have been intended to be kids free, but unfortunately they allow kids. It is much newer that Shadow Ridge I & II. (I assume just different phases.) My wife and I made our second trip to the Enclaves over this last Thanksgiving. You are allowed to use JW facilities and charge back JW restaurants, etc to your room at the Enclaves. If you like deli, I would suggest Sherman's Deli, between the Enclaves and the JW. For a kids free experience in So. Calif. I would suggest the MVCI Pulse in San Diego. The SD Pulse is a 20 minute walk from Little Italy and about 20 minutes from the Gas Lamp Quarter, just south of Balboa Park.

We've stayed and Shadow Ridge I and Desert Spring Villas I and both were very nice. I believe that Desert Springs I is the only MVC with complimentary access to the JW pools and facilities, unless this situation has changed. I always try to stay at DSI for this reason. Although DSI is the oldest of these timeshares, MVC does an excellent job of keeping the villas updated and well maintained. DS I and II and Shadow Ridge have 2BR, 1BR, and studios. All of these are great resorts, so you really can't go wrong with any of them. Enjoy your trip.

Shadow Ridge is my favorite. Right on the golf course.

We have stayed at Desert Springs and Shadow Ridge.  Our favorite was the Shadow Ridge - Enclaves.  The suite we had was located in a quieter part of the property, being a newer phase in this rather large development.  March is a wonderful time to visit the desert.

We have stayed at I II and the Villages at Shadow Ridge.  We prefer Desert Springs I.  We are golfers and like to walk to the course in the early am.

Other reasons for staying at Springs I is the proximity to the JW restaurants, lobby bar and the pool area.  One of the only downsides would be if using a two bedroom unit there is an odd way the two rooms are joined as you have to use the hall to go from the lockoff to the main unit.  Views of mountains and golf courses no matter where you stay.

Going to Desert Springs Villas 1 the first week of October for the first time.  Any input on things to do @ this time would be appreciated!  Thanks!

We have stayed at Shadow Ridge and Desert Springs Villas 1 and 11.  We prefer Villa's 1 because we are tennis players and we love overlooking the golf course and playing on their clay courts.  March is a tough time due to the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament ...... we book our 2 BDRM villa 13 months in advance.

If you don't mind a "few" children always around then all these properties are nice to stay in.  I usually visit the casinos for the buffet or catch a show.

I have to agree DS1 is our preference.  Stayed at Shadow Ridge the villages April 2016. Beautiful location but it was missing that "something".  Might have been the villa layout at SR as compared to DS1.

Going this April back to DS1.  Looking forward to the changes since our last stop in November 2010.

You will love your stay there, no matter de age. The villas at Shadow Bridge are really fantastic, also JW it one of the best resorts I have ever visited. Adjacent you will find the Desert Springs villas. All are are uniquely stylish retreats in the midst of beautiful Palm Desert.

It is a golfer s paradise, plus you have the Paseo a really world class shopping and dining venue.

You cant miss a ride in the  arial tramway. You can also take a scenic tour  to the Indian Canyons and  visit the botanical gardens

There is casino close  called Aguas Calientes and a great outlet for shooping Dessert Hills Premiun outlet.

    Enjoy. !!!!
