Who Can I Contact At Marriott Corp. for the issue I am having?

Who can I contact at Marriott?  My issue is that I booked a reservation on August 13th for Labor Day weekend at the

Frederickburg, VA Residence Inn, and cancelled it an hour later.  However, the manager charged my credit card for one

nights stay and refuses to credit it back.  Who can I contact at Marriott Corp. to right this wrong?

    Call the MR line and ask for "customer care" and see if the customer care rep will contact the local hotel and work on your behalf to resolve the issue.

      How do I find out if the Residence Inn I stayed at is a franchise. I cannot believe it would be corporate operated based on the bait and switch rate online $142 with the actual hotel rate $299. No adjusted email or otherwise. I am angry and disguisted with the customer.care email and call brushing me off to contact the property.

      As a military family member, I am disguisted with dishonesty and cheating people. I want my issue resolved and local level GM does not return calls and only emails.

        Most Marriotts are privately owned.But they have to maintain Marriott standards. I find the rates you quoted interesting. That's a heck of a discount. I have seen those types of discounts before and they are often "pay in advance, no refund" rates. Check the details of the rate you clicked on.

         

        ETA, I checked their rates and it does appear to be a "no refund" rate but you have a 1 day grace period. So if you cancelled in one hour you should get a full refund.
