Marriott Brands

I am hoping someone can refresh my memory about the difference between the Spring Hill Suites and the Town Place Suites.  I normally stay at full-service Marriotts, and occasionally a Courtyard or Residence Inn.   So, even though I have stayed at both Town Place and Spring Hill each a couple of times, it doesn't strike me that there is any difference between the two.  I think there's something I'm missing about these two brands.  Also, I have never found anywhere on the website where one can read about the differences between the brands and see each one defined.  Does anybody know about a link like that?  Thanks for any help.

Biggest difference in my opinion is you get twice as many MR points at SHS as you get at TPS.  And it's my experience that most TPS allow pets, whereas most SHS don't.

I agree with NuHusker.  Springhill earns 10 points per eligible $US compared to 5 points at Towneplace.  The other big difference is the complimentary breakfast at Springhill compared to Towneplace which can be skimpy.

With a breakfast like Fairfield Inn, the TownePlace Suites in Gilford, NH is an exception.  This property is among the new generation of TPS and opened last May.

Thanks, TJC and NUHUSKER for your explications.  I have a reservation coming up in a few days at Town Place property.
