I would like to find out if Marriott Rewards Member get 2 night elite credit for 1 night stay in Ritz Carlton or is only applicable for Ritz Carlton Rewards Member?

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)

    Good question, dp86,

Unfortunately, the answer is no. The below is an excerpt from the following link: Latest News & Offers

*Guests must be a member of The Ritz-Carlton Rewards® at the time of their stay. Stays must be at a participating Ritz-Carlton® property between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. For each eligible night, members will receive two Elite night credits. Nights spent while redeeming an award are eligible for one Elite night credit. Nights stayed at a Ritz-Carlton property as a member of the Marriott Rewards® program are not eligible for double Elite night credit. Members can review their current status by logging into their account

AndrewT When is the Ritz-Carlton Rewards program going to merge with the Marriott Rewards program?  Perhaps at the same time that SPG merges in?  Ritz is sort of part of Marriott, but when it comes to several important Marriott Platinum benefits it just does its own thing...Frustrating!

We understand your frustration, mustanggt. Here is what we can tell you about the two programs:

Marriott Rewards members and Ritz-Carlton members can earn points at the Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton properties. Each brand can choose what they would like to offer for the Elite program.

Some of the properties do not offer all Elite benefits, such as the concierge lounge or complimentary breakfast benefit. This benefit is not available at resort locations, EDITION properties, The Ritz-Carlton Hotels, AC Hotels, Gaylord Hotels or select service brands such as Courtyard hotels.

You can view the different benefits online at:

        http://marriott.com/rewards/learn/memben.mi

        and

        http://www.marriott.com/rewards/terms/elite.mi

However, you are able to earn and redeem your points earned at both the Marriott properties and the Ritz-Carlton properties.

        Hope this helps. Thanks!
