Move up levels due to overall Marriot Points

The manager at a Fairfield Inn told me I could become Platinum since I had >400,000 points. Is that true?

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)

It may be a new wrinkle in the program but as far as I know the staying a total of 75 nights is a hard and fast rule to make Platinum in a given year.

If you host meetings there is also another way to make it. You can host meetings as shown here.

Good luck with the movement toward Platinum

Thanks; that's what I thought as well.
