10k annual spend for gold status, and 75k spend for platinum status.
If you just applied for it, and haven't received gold status yet, first thing I would do is check the back of the card. Make sure the rewards number there is the same as the marriott rewards member you use to login.
If it is, and you still haven't received gold status, call JPM Priority services. The number is on the back of your card. They will get it sorted out for you pronto.
So, if you have the RC card and enter your Marriott rewards number in during sign-up, you make Marriott gold after spend $10K. Does that mean you receive 50 stays in your Marriott account then - the cost of Gold?
And does that also then mean you make Marriott Platinum Elite in only 25 stays (equaling 75 total nights for the year?)
I currently have had the Marriott Rewards card for several years, where you get 15 nights automatic each year. But with the Ritz Carlton card, if you can make Gold after spending $10K each year, that's worth 50 nights. Am I understanding this correctly?
Like jm said, no nights, just status.
And to clarify, if you put in your number when you sign up, you'll get gold status within a week. There is no minimum spend for status the first year, but 10k spend the first year will get you gold status year 2.
The only cards that offer elite night credits are the Marriott premier and Marriott business card.
Also, another clarifications. Since you'll receive gold status from the Ritz card, you will forfeit any opportunity for rollover nights unless you get over 50 (or 75) nights. So if you have 30 nights, and gold status, you won't get any rollover nights because the Ritz card gives you gold status.
