Like you Snail5930, my promo page shows I haven't registered for the summer global promo, despite receiving the bonus points from it from my last 3 stays, and the double elite nights offer is also missing, despite the fact I'm being credited the double nights.
Sounds like another IT snafu, I am registered and I am recieving both my double elite nights and the 2,000 bonus points per stay, but the page says not... A bit like the nil lifetime nights bug that's still not fixed...
Well that is really strange Snail5930 and brightlybob. I have just double checked just to make sure, and my promotions page is showing I am registered for the Global Promo, and also for the Double Elite Nights. The latter is very important to me as, with the bookings I already have in place, it will get me back to Gold.
Same issue here. Registered and have been receiving Double Elite Nights and Summer Bonus Points. But, both registered promos not in "Promotion Central" page.
But the big joke is that in my "Account Overview" page, right at the bottom reads: Current progress: 2 promotions.
Ha ha ha ho ho ho.
My 2016 Global Promotion, which I am part way through completing, has now disappeared. It is now asking me to register, but when I try to register it tells me I cannot register at this time. These IT problems have now advanced well beyond the laughable and ridiculous stages to the unacceptable stage. If Marriott can't run an IT department maybe they need to seriously consider outsourcing some of this.
Well, this is absolutely weird!! When I checked - twice - earlier today, my promotions were both there. Definitely! Now they have disappeared. What on earth is going on carat and the rest of the team? Marriott IT is getting to be a huge joke.
If their IT operations are based on "I better not say anything or I'll jinx it" we should all start burning points like mad. Remember, EVERY loyalty program has in its terms and conditions that the entire program can be cancelled at any time (usually with some amount of notice).
Well, here is a thing! I don't know if it helps or not. Maybe brightlybob can also check this and see what he gets.
If I log into Marriott Rewards just on "I feel lucky" on Google, I realise I am on the US site. Even though I can log in, and all my points etc show, my promotions do not.
If, however, I log into Marriott Rewards UK, (I live in the UK) the promotions also show. I never realised the two sites might show different information.
brightlybob, as you are in the UK, please try and see what happens.
Well, how right you are, Tommo781 - I'm registered for nothing at Marriott.com, but I'm registered and on my way for both the global and double nights promo on Marriott.co.uk. How odd!
For those interested in lifetime nights however, the UK site also shows 0 lifetime nights
Here's an odd twist for you. I tried the UK site and found exactly the same thing. Country of residence doesn't seem to matter. Can we borrow the UK version of the site for a little while?
I am able to find that I am registered for the promotion on the US site, but it takes a few extra clicks.
I'd truly like to offer something positive regarding these IT issues, which continue to grow in number, but alas, unfortunately cannot.
I can't think of an enterprise similar in scope to Marriott who even comes close to pacing their customer service IT issues, and also can't fathom that Marriott does not comprehend the growing seriousness of the situation, where customer satisfaction and confidence is concerned. If I were Marriott, I would be scrambling, and yet... I'm not seeing that...
"Marriott, we have a problem."
Title of the post below with nearly 2,500 views on this site has now changed to help collect all IT issues in one spot - pass it pn to your followers, friends, and any MRI member that will listen! Thanks...
Hi Insiders. Apologies for all the frustration this has caused!! We understand the inconvenience this has presented for our members and appreciate your patience while our teams sort through this. There is currently a glitch on the website in which members are unable to see the promotions they are enrolled in. However, this will not affect your earnings during the summer promotions. If you have previously registered for the Summer Global 2016 promotion or the Double Elite Nights (Europe), you will receive your bonus points/nights for your stays that occur during the promotional period.
carat What about those that were on the 2,000 point x 5 + 2000 for cc = 12,000 and only got 10,000. Will the other 2,000 post at a later date?
Thanks for the insight, j&c! Also, in order to receive these Credit Card Bonus points, members must first complete the 5 required stays. Once the sixth and final stay has posted, the bonus should appear.
true carat They must also be a Marriott Credit Card holder before they start the promotion or likely they won't get the bonus unless they call in and "discuss"
As a datapoint, my summer promotion, which I am in the middle of completing, has also disappeared from my view.
Sigh. Not worried about getting my credits, as I have already gotten some of the bonus points to it is easy to establish I was, in fact, enrolled. Just another 'What is going on?' moment.
insert coffee Your progress is there under Promotions, just reformatted. On your Promotions page, please click on the blue Summer Global Promotion link to display.
It looks to me like Marriott is gearing up to display some new Promotions - possibly due to feedback here at MRI C
The Global Promotion is the summer promotion. Hmmm. When I click on the Promotions link after signing in, I land on Promotions Central.
On the lefthand column under "NEW PROMOTIONS", try clicking the "2016 Global Promotion" (link in blue) NOT the "Register" button, which produces an error message. C
Thanks for catching my typo, insertcoffee! You are correct, members will need to complete 6 separate paid stays using their Marriott Rewards Credit Card in order to receive the extra 2,000 point bonus.
