has anyone heard if you can now use Marriott rewards at Starwood hotels? is the merger with srtarwood complete?

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)

Not even close to complete. Dont expect to be able to book starwood hotels with marriott points until AT LEAST 2018.

Article from Forbes today (7/1/2016)  says that "Later this month Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Inc. will disappear.  Its 11 brands, 1,300 hotels and 188,000 employees will become part of Marriott International, Inc."

Yes, it will become part of Marriott international, but it will still be the starwood preferred guest program, and not part of Marriott rewards.

I think it is months away from any merger and points-rewards stuff

I agree with Jsucool76 - it's more than a year away based on my experience with other mergers (such as airlines)
