While browsing for deals for a stay in Albany this weekend I came across this in the 'Rate Rules" section; it relates to a "can't beat Fridays" promotion:

Additional Information

BOOKING RULES REQUIRES A FRIDAY STAYOVER

CHANGES TO THE RATE MAY RESULT IN RATE CHANGE

ATTEMPT A CANCEL AND REBOOK FOR NEW NIGHTS

- IF RATE AVAILABLE - CONFIRM, EXPLAIN PREVIOUS

RATE REQUIRED A FRIDAY STAYOVER

- IF NO RATES/ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE - CONFIRM THE

CORPORATE (CORA) FOR THURSDAY NIGHT OR THE

Watch out next time a supervisor comes to give you better service...

Not sure this advice was supposed to be shared with us.  Also not sure whether I want to book there now in-case I am forced into buying a more expensive package!
