My daughter is getting married this year and wants the wedding in Vail. Looking for anyone that has had any expereinces with the Marriott properties located in either Vail or Beaver Creek. Thanks in advance for any input from someone who either attended a wedding their or had one at this location.
Having stayed at The Marriott in Vail a number of times, but never Beaver Creek, I can say you picked a wonderful place, no matter what time of the year you go.
If flying, fly into Eagle, and arrange to have transportation take you to your hotel and back. It is much, much better than The Denver Airport. Likewise, you are going to be in a "World Class City" that reminds you of wonderful places in Europe. The staff should help make your experience special, so make sure you let them know the occasion and get their recommendations for making everything special.
A couple of thoughts:
Two exceptional places:
Dinner on top of Vail Mountain at "The Club", the only way you can get there after taking the tram, is a snow cat. This place you will never forget.
Vail is really a fun place to dine and shop. BTW, the hotel has a very nice place to dine, and the scenery is special. Really enjoyed their wonderful staff:
View from Balcony and room!
Ice Sculptures, and many other interesting things are found walking thru town!
Congratulations on your event, and have a wonderful time!
My wife and I got married in Vail almost 36 years ago. Super location - August wedding; we got married outdoors and the flowers that are planted in all the public spaces were a beautiful backdrop. We love Vail and love the Marriott properties there. We've stayed at the Marriott Vacation Club at Streamside (for more space) and I seem to gravitate to conferences that are held at the Vail Marriott Hotel - which is wonderful. We'll be at the Ritz Carlton which is just a two-minutes' walk from the Marriott Hotel - later this week. All the properties have super staff and you can't go wrong with any of them. Can't really speak to Beaver Creek but would expect it to also be terrific.
Vail operates a complimentary shuttle service that runs the loop from the west to east ends. It means you can pretty much forget the hassle of a car. Pepi's is one of favorite restaurants (German/Austrian style food) but there are so many great places from which to choose. Check with the concierge for the time you're there for the best places as they pop into and out of favor depending on the season.
