Midway down he is asked about HW's decision to devalue its loyalty program points, and his answer is, well, judge for yourself. I would have had a PR person provide a better answer but then he's the boss and I am not

Looking back at the HHonors October 23, 2009 e-mail to see how the change in redemption levels is worded:
"New redemption levels for 2010
Only Hilton HHonors™ lets you earn Points & Miles™ for the same stay and enjoy hotel rewards with No Blackout Dates. And that’s not changing. However, for the first time in six years, we do have an update to point redemption amounts and hotel categories beginning January 15, 2010."
How convenient for HiltonHonors to wait until Marriott brand-hoppers requalified for HHonors Gold and Diamond tier. Does anyone who made the switch feel consoled by the CEO's statement that Hilton waited "longer"?
