Hi, I have three nights to spend in South East Florida (not too far from MIA) and wondering what properties people have loved? I don't want to spend much more than $500 per night so the RCs are out. Looking at the Stanton in South Beach, the BeachPlace Towers in Fort Lauderdale, and the Harbor Beach Resort & Spa also in Lauderdale. Any one of these better than the other? Or does anyone have other suggestions? Would love a concierge lounge if available to gold level members. Beach front is better than not, but for a great deal/unforgettable experience I would stay elsewhere--even in Miami proper. Many thanks for your thoughts!
We recently stayed at Oceana Palms in Weat Palm /Singer Island area and this is now one of our favorite destinations. This is a vacation club property with a great ocean front setting. We have also stayed at the Ft.Lauderdale VC property which is just across he street from the beach and enjoys a lively city location with food and nightlife nearby. If you have a car and time the Marco Island VC is a few hours away and an absolute Jewell of a resort with amazing staff and free amenities including wine tastings and beer fun!
I just got back from Pompano Beach, just a little north of Fort Lauderdale...it was awesome. We had to stay at the Residence Inn Pompano Beach because we need a 2 room Suite but there is a newer Marriott property right next door. We had dinner there one night and it was great. Both properties are beach front and there is great Tiki bar at the timeshare on the other side of the Residence Inn. We also did a food tour while in Pompano and it was good too.
I second mraddicted's suggestion of Oceana Palms on Singer Island. One of our favorite spots to relax. Also love lots of things to do and great restaurants in the area. I am actually getting ready to spend some time at Ocean Pointe, just down the beach from Oceana Palms. (We needed a three bedroom villa for this trip, so couldn't do Oceana Palms.)
