We are going to be spending two nights in Zurich on a start of a vacation during warmer months. We are trying to weigh the convenience of the Marriott next to the main train station or something a bit further removed from the lake like the Renaissance or much further removed like the Courtyard.
The general idea is we'd like to be somewhere where we can walk through the main parts of Zurich. Anyone have any thoughts that frequents the area?
Also is anyone aware if there is a concierge lounge that is accessible to Platinums at this and the other Zurich locations and if it is open on weekends?
Hi, We were just at the Zurich Marriott by the train station in September. It is a wonderful location. Everyone there was great. You can walk to the hotel from the station. Don't cut through the park. The road turns into gravel and is hard with a roller bag. Take the walk over the bridge. It does have a concierge lounge right off the lobby. If have a great breakfast and afternoon snack. Enjoy Zurich, it is beautiful. We walked everywhere. The concierge recommended a day trip, we had never done one but did the "Top of Europe". Well worth to day. We were there during the week so I don't know the weekend hours.
You are going to have a wonderful time! A few things that might help you decide:
Cost, or amount of points needed for stay! Zurich has been rated the most expensive city in The World, and it does live up to it's reputation. So do analyze the different locations. I have stayed at all of them and all are excellent.
You will have access to an inexpensive tram to downtown locations, and even from the Marriott, you may want to take the tram, as it is a good walk even to the main train station.

The hotel does have a concierge lounge--it's open to Platinums and open every day! If you would like more detailed information about the area, we suggest reaching out to the hotel's concierge via email, email@example.com.
