Where to stay in Tallahassee

Just got back from a 4 day stay in Tallahassee. I've been there a number of times for business and personal travel, and have stayed at many of the area Marriott properties.

The new Spring Hill suites on Executive drive is by far the best of the Marriott properties. It's just over a year old and shows it. The rooms are in great shape and well designed, the lobby area is clean and interesting and the staff is one of the most helpful and friendliest I've come across.

So, if the location works, I think it should be your first choice in Tallahassee.

Marriott has 257 properties in Florida and 18 are new.  With the exception of the Miami market, the lion's share of the new hotels are limited service brands primarily Fairfield Inn & Suites, Springhill Suites and Residence Inn.  We're planning a trip to northern Florida and the panhandle next year and will place the Tallahassee Springhill Suites on the itinerary.  Thanks for the review.

I agree! I went to college in Tallahassee and lived there for years. Now, as a recruiter, I frequently visit the area for business. Of all Marriott properties, SpringHill Suites is by far the most visibly appealing. I'm sure that's also because it's the newest. My second choice Marriott hotel in Tallahassee would be the Courtyard on Raymond Diehl. All other Tallahassee Marriott hotels, in my opinion, are not worth the money.
