I've been looking at different days in January to head to SJD and try out the new JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa: San Jose del Cabo Luxury Hotels. Random search of a couple of days in that month bring me to this far for Business Class when looking at specific days
The fare displayed is the lowest available for the dates requested; however some flights may not be in the cabin you requested.
United flights include those operated by our Express partners.
|Nonstop flights from $1,182|
If you select the box on the main reservation page for "My Dates Are Flexible" look what fare you can get for the same seats on the same flights.
There is a lesson here folks, ALWAYS search different options for your travel on the web sites. Oh by the way the economy fare is using the main reservation page for specific dates comes up like this. Just plane (pun intended).
|Nonstop flights from $742|
Could this be yet another United glitch? HMMMM
I'm a little confused about the bottom graphic you posted. The fare shows Round Trip $742 for Economy Class. That was suppose to be cost for Business Class right?
$750 R/T P/P to Cabo and back in economy seems really high to me, though I would consider it a normal price for F/C. We can fly R/T to SJD for $325-$425 economy or about $800 F/C on - well, you know which airline. We will select seats in row 6 (miles of legroom) of the econ cabin and will request upgrades and hope for the best. I would not ever consider $800 for a < 3 hr. flight in F/C.
As an aside, I saw the point saver offer for an ocean front room. When I looked at the last week in March (closer to our anniversary), the point saver for an ocean front room was available, but I paused and the next day, it was only offered at full points. I snoozed, I "loosed." So we're going in February on the point saver deal. Really awesome that they offered not just a basic room on points, but specifically ocean view and ocean front rooms as well.
Thank you so much IAHFLYR, for pointing out the point saver offer to me! We are very excited!
We in NYC area have been seeing fall airfares falling . There have been several AA fares LGA-ORD for $80 R/T for Tues, Wed and Sat departures. Even the other dates are yielding fares in the $119-$159 R/T range which is still fantastic. Everyone knows fall is their low season and travel is down so they have to cut prices to fill planes. The great thing is now with Twitter, you can follow a couple pages (TheFlightDeal) and they pop right up on your phone. I can see alerts for all kinds of fares as soon as the airline posts them.
My first flight (BUR - LGA) was on a TWA Constellation! I graduated to 707's in 1959 and now sit in the first cabin about 75% of my flights.
Board a Spirit flight would be similar to climbing in a Cessna 172!!!! The difference is I would be the pilot in the Cessna and I wouldn't be charged for: 1. Visiting the restroom prior to take off 2. Cost of the towels in the rest room
3. fee for bringing by knapsack 4 choosing to sit down instead of holding on to a pole on take off .......etc....etc....etc
Flying UA in first class is as close to "roughing it" at my age that I want.
IAHFLYR you and I need to continually solve all of Marriott's problems in row 2 or 3!!!!
702rugbyref fascinating fellow that Mr. Hughes - reading another biography currently.
I'd say more like being on board a C150 and yes you can be the pilot and I'll do the radio calls, unless you want me to fly the thing inverted (if it's an aerobatic C150)!!!
