Has anyone done the All-Inclusive at the Cayman Marriott? If so what was your experience?

It was okay but not ALL INCLUSIVE -- • Breakfast, lunch and dinner at resort restaurants    (select items may have a surcharge)
     • Premium brand liquor, local beer, house wine by
the glass and non-alcoholic beverages, note not continuous and we had to go to the bar!! Foot in mouth Not poolside !

Centrally located on the world-famous Seven Mile Beach, Marriott's Grand Cayman Resort see our video -http://www.iceportal.com/brochures/ice/Brochure.aspx?did=2110&brochureid=GCM&lang=en&video=1&info=1&location=1&general=1&rr=0

This hotel will be undergoing renovations to the room balconies fromDecember 20, 2008 thru November 30, 2009. Work to be done includes changing the tiles, hand railings and fresh paint, renovations will be done floor by floor to limit noise disturbances. The hotel does anticipate the need to
isolate and temporarily close access to the working stage areas

By Caribbean standards, the Cayman Islands are quite pricey and all-inclusive packages are rare.  Our experience with the all-inclusive at the Marriott was excellent and saved us a bundle.  The Solana restaurant has a delightful outdoor seating area with attentive service.  We ordered the menu specials each night, and they were varied and well done.  We stuck to ordering the wines, beers and specialty drinks included in the package, and we were not disappointed.  We especially enjoyed dining each night as the sun was setting over the Caribbean.

Just got back from a weekend at this hotel.  They did not offer an all-inclusive to us - not sure that you would need/want it.  Being on SMB you can walk or take a bus to a lot of places and there are lots to do that an all-inclusive would not be of value here.
